Eighteen-month-old boy dies in accidental drowning

An 18-month-old boy drowned in a residential swimming pool in Conception Bay South Wednesday evening.
Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to the scene about 8:09 p.m.
The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
The RNC says the matter is under investigation.
